What's Really in Your Coffee Filter? A Closer Look at the Drip Bag
The filter sits in hot water every morning, yet most of us never think about it. Here's how a drip bag filter works — and why it matters for your cup.

The part nobody thinks about
We obsess over origin, roast and water temperature — and then steep it all through a filter we never question. Yet that filter is the last thing your coffee touches before your cup, sitting in hot water every single morning.
How a drip bag works
A drip bag is a small pour-over filter that comes pre-filled with ground coffee. Two paper hangers fold out and hook over the rim of your cup, so the filter hangs inside it. You pour hot water in, it drips through the coffee, and the cup fills — exactly like a classic pour-over, without the dripper.
A clean, fine mesh
The Semprevivo ESC hanger filter is a fine mesh designed to hold its shape on the cup, extract evenly and leave nothing behind but coffee — no sediment and no grounds in your mug.
Drip bag vs. instant coffee
Instant coffee is brewed, dried and dissolved again. A drip bag is real ground coffee brewed fresh in your cup, so it keeps the aroma and body of filter coffee. Compared with capsules, there is no machine to buy, clean or carry.
A cleaner ritual
Choosing your filter is choosing what goes into your cup. Organic beans deserve an equally honest way of brewing them.
