Office Coffee Without a Machine: Good Filter Coffee at Your Desk
No espresso machine at work? With a kettle and a drip bag you can make real filter coffee at your desk in a few minutes — with nothing to clean.

The short answer
To make good coffee at the office without a machine, use a single-serve drip bag: hang it on your mug, pour 150–180ml of hot water at 87–94°C, remove it and drink. All you need is a kettle.
Why offices skip the machine
Coffee machines take space, need cleaning and descaling, and someone has to look after them. Drip bags need none of that: each one is used once and thrown away, so there is nothing to wash or repair.
Better than instant at your desk
A drip bag brews real ground coffee in your cup, like a small pour-over. Compared with instant coffee, you get the aroma and taste of filter coffee, with almost the same convenience.
Getting the water right
Water straight off the boil is a little too hot. Let the kettle rest for about half a minute so it falls to 87–94°C, then pour slowly in a few rounds so the coffee has time to brew.
Easy to stock for a team
Each Semprevivo ESC bag is individually packed, so a box of 6 or the Explorer's Kit with 30 bags can sit in a drawer or the kitchen cupboard. Everyone takes one when they want a cup.
